Teaching Music to Children and Adults
Mate Palhegyi flute teacher

Teaching young artists

I began teaching flute in 1994. I worked as a teacher at the Weiner Leo Musical Technical Academy, and am currently teaching at Liszt Ferenc Musical Academy. I have successfully prepared many of my students for their technical academy, university, and college entrance exams. Throughout my didactic work I place emphasis on the teaching of “speechlike,” expressive musical interpretation.

Teaching music to little ones

By strengthening their emotional intelligence, my music lessons prepare the smaller children to openly receive the full musical experience. It feels amazing to witness as a whole “new world” opens up to a young learner, knowing that this will play a major role in dealing with everyday events for the rest of their lives.

Teaching music to less experienced adults

I think it’s important to state: from time to time everyone – even we adults and parents – need a little spiritual rejuvenation: moments where time is not an issue. Music provides the perfect cure: as you are listening to music, or simply playing an instrument, space seems to melt away, and for a moment time ceases to exist. Let’s not deny ourselves the opportunity to change the world around us for a minute from time to time! Even as an adult it’s not too late – in fact it is quite necessary to learn how to do this.
